This section of the site is gone. Here’s why

From 1995 until 2012, TNL.net had a directory of events that happened on a particular historical date. It was popular and often copied. With the rise of Wikipedia as a primary source for such content, I decided to retire the entire section. You can find the same content (which I ported over into each Wikipedia entry) in the Today in History section of Wikipedia.
